San Ginesio has been designated a place of historic interest and was described by La Repubblica as ‘Un piccolo borgo delizioso’ (‘a delicious little place’). Urbisaglia, some ten minutes away is also a town of great historical significance, and is home to considerable remains of the original city walls and of the buildings within them, together with brickwork of the Imperial period. Buildings from the time include baths, tombs, an amphitheatre and other ruins. Colmurano, famous for it’s chocolate festival, is yet another town where watching the world go by is a perfect way to spend an afternoon. |
